a.k.a. “The Selfless Award”
Awards $2,000 in Annual Scholarships of $1,000 each presented to one:
East Technical High School – Graduating Senior Student-Athlete
Chagrin Falls High School – Graduating Senior Student-Athlete
When: Awarded in May of the Senior’s Graduating Year
Who: Criteria for Consideration:
1. Graduating Senior – (Male or Female)
2. Athlete – Any sport – (Participates in Athletics and is a Member of a Team Sport in High School)
3. College Bound – (Plans to Enroll in a College, University or Accredited Trade or Vocational School)
4. Positive Attitude – (Unwavering Positive “Don’t Quit“ Attitude That Influences Others)
5. Selfless Team Player/Member – (Always Puts Others and Team First. Strives to Give Back to Teammates, Community, and/or School)
How: Selection Process
The High School Athletic Director and/or any Team Head Coach can:
1. Identify and nominate one (1) student from each sport who qualifies and is well deserving of this award
2. Each will provide a brief narrative on why the student was selected and supports their candidate choice
3. Selected Students will then be invited to apply for the scholarship via the Alumni Association Website
4. The coaches and AD will review final applications and the student that receives the most votes will be awarded the Scholarship in May at the Scholarship Awards Banquet.
